Please know that the Foundation and our Volunteers are still working on veterans' claims every day. It appears to me that there are more people needing assistance today than ever before. I don't know if this is caused by the aftermath of the COVID pandemic or may be influenced by the events that are happening in Europe or by all of it combined.
Our volunteers are a dedicated group of men and women who want to make a difference in the lives of all veterans and their families. We need more volunteers to join our team to help us process the backlog of claims of veterans and surviving spouses who have asked us for help. We offer training classes electronically or in person every week to current volunteers and for those who want to help us to help the men and women who have served in our military. With our digital claims systems, volunteers can be a part of what we do from almost any place in the world. We have volunteers from other states who are currently assisting veterans and surviving spouses to apply for VA benefits. I know that there are many of you who feel the same way that we do when it comes to helping the men and women who have served in the United States Military.
For those of you who want to assist us there are several ways that are needed. One of those is by helping our organization financially or by donating that used car, truck, or computer, that can be given to a veteran in need or sold to raise operational funds.
Our drivers are assisting veterans and surviving spouses on a daily basis by transporting them to our location or to their VA appointments. We also have some handicapped items that we recycle for other veterans who are in need.
We are continually looking for others who would like to be a part of what we do for veterans and their families. Training is provided in person or digitally on a weekly basis.
